The movie is on the run way for the first 25 minutes and then takes off like a Boeing 747 and then cruises. It starts with a poetical narration and transforms to a kind of romance/comedy with the 'aesthetic touch' and before you realize what this movie is about, it takes off and changes direction, where you see the Omkara's Vishal Bharadwaj behind the shots for quiet some time. Pure cinema it is. Vishal Bhradwaj with a Quentin Tarantino mask it is. He got the style bang on. The only thing he was missing when he was under that mask is a lengthy (preferably intellectual) conversation. The climax, its a typical bollywood gangster fight shot like a Guy Ritchie's scene. The 'direction', through out the movie is magnificent.
I can brag about the cinematography for one full day. The pull, drag, push of the camera infront-of/behind/beside the actors.. Oh Boy !!! The hollywood kinda bokehs, the low saturated colors, the back lighting, the wide angles, the harsh lighting, the shaky camera, the blurry pictures, the out-of-focus foreground.. Oh Boy !!! This is easily one of the best cinematographies done in Indian movies. Easily comparable to the Hollywood stuff. The quality of cinematography keeps steadily increasing through out the movie. As the movie proceed towards the end, he shows you what he is up to and what he can do with the equipment. Goddamn beautiful !!
The clever screenplay which keeps the audience glued to their seat transforms steadily and gets better and gains pace as it moves on. Brilliant job again !
This is an artistic - sexy - stylish - raw - hysterical - technically very sound - commercial movie. Its a must watch, doesn't matter whether you are a movie lover or not.

I didn't watch the movie yet, but hearing mixed reviews about it. The weight is certainly towards the better side. Some say the movie closely resembles pf and lock stock. Could be that Vishal has adopted the style of QT and Guy Ritchie but bringing that execution style into bolly is certainly invited!!
I am a shahid kapoor fan... may b for tat sake i cud try watching this movie... tho i dont hav much knowledge abt cinematography...
